Can you give more details when you say "current release was not
installable" ? Which one did you pick ? Current stable release is 0.96.
Concerning the problem you have when connecting, it might be related to
the implementation I made this summer to support binding of individual
accounts on different interfaces. As a lot of lower level work has been
done recently, I'm not too surprised to hear about that.
If you want to help out debugging, try to look in the output from
sflphoned:
$/usr/lib/sflphone/sflphoned
$/usr/bin/sflphone-client-gnome
Also, Wireshark can give you some hints on what's going on.
